  brother smith had been missing from the kingdom hall for weeks and we decided it would be best to pay him a visit and see if it he was okay.

  ever since the death of his wife and daughter in that car accident last year, he had gone from an active pioneer and elder to someone we only saw from time to time.

  yet three weeks was way more time then any of us had ever seen, and we were worried.

  Fine Example

  Great sci-fi story! As all great sci-fi scenarios, this one is so plausible! We have a little sci-fi movie appreciation group, and often watch post-apocalyptic movies. The lates was "Logan's Run" Everyone had a good laugh, but we laughed harder than anyone else! Still can't believe I went along with that nonsense for over 35 years!

  Literature not for Disf'ed people says Elder.........

  i had an interesting encounter today, actually my son and i both.

  well my good intentioned ex-husband and father of my son thought he would have the local congregation elders call on us and try to get us back to meetings.

  well i had been getting literature from this local elder's wife without her knowing i was ever a jw.

  So if LITERATURE is not for disfellowship people, what are the other restrictions added in the 10 years since I dissappeared? The last comment by Pippy in Australia piqued my curiosity, because I know others that were df'd at her age, in the same mental condition, and nothing ever offered to get them off the Dangerous Evildoer List. (and apparently now she shouldn't read WT literature) The woman I'm thinking of was 18, on the verge of a mental breakdown, AND IS NOW 40 years old! She has an older brother, now an elder, that still won't speak to her, and doesn't want his family to speak to her or see her. "Family" includes his 68 year old mother, a JW living 300 miles from him, and his married daughter! (still a JW) He's ranting and raving and threatening to Turn his mother and daughter in" to their local elders for SOCIALIZING TOGETHER on the occasion of his mother and father's 50th wedding anniversary! He has totally lost his mind, but is there anything published by the JW's that backs up his outrageous actions? I don't keep up with reading those WT's and AW's left around laundromats. I get angry whenever I see one. But then I can't say anything to refute his ridiculous ranting because I don't read the stuff he reads. Can anyone share the latest crazy outlook on the "How to interact with df'd relatives?" subject.....(and do these safety measures to "protect" the other JW's ever make anyone want to join up again?"   These are ALL great! I'd like to subscribe to THESE Awakes and Watchtowers! So much more interesting than the same rewritten, rehashed, Armageddon is coming soon threat. THESE are ones people would read, and pay for, instead of having to leave them in laundymats and old folks homes or stuff under the door when no one is home!

  i ordered and received in the mail yesterday my t-shirt (above) just in time for the apostafest at the end of this month (sweatfest in dallas).. what other sly t-shirts, cups and such are "out there" that we may not have seen or known about that would be a conversation starter?.

  We need to start wearing our T-shirts with pride. What's this about "I'd like to order this one" or "that would be fun to wear'? Come out of the closet! Easy for me- having dissappeared years ago - living 1500 miles from where I grew up. My husband sent me the T-shirt link, so I had to post the photo I took at the convenience store last week. I've not been to meetings or assemblies in over ten years so I had not heard! I saw this on the news rack! It was one of those things where I started laughing silently and couldn't stop- It was the cover of the "Sun" News Magazine, so surely it must be accurate! " Prepare Now for Final Battle Between Good and Evil!" "Armageddon Begins Next Month!" Far more sobering is the news that a T-REX has been Terrorizing a Trailer Park- this 60 million year old killer is on the loose! Better just stay inside and lock the doors!!!!!!!!! Yours truly,
